Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Oktana is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Taxonomy Analyst to support a long-term project with a major tech client. The role involves data labeling, taxonomy support, metadata validation, and cross-functional communication to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Categorize, tag, and annotate high-volume datasets of job descriptions and resumes according to strict internal guidelines
- Review, map, and standardize ambiguous or non-standard job titles into optimized hierarchical structures
- Audit, verify, and clean backend metadata to ensure the accuracy and consistency of search algorithms
- Apply regional market expertise to adapt and contextualize terminology across specific global job markets
- Execute high-volume data cleanups, identifying pattern anomalies and exercising sound judgment to resolve data discrepancies
- Document data trends and provide structured technical feedback in English to team leads and engineering workflows
Skills
- Must physically reside and be authorized to work as a contractor in the United States (No exceptions)
- Native-level fluency in the target language track + Professional English communication skills for day-to-day operations (Slack, syncs, reports)
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Taxonomy, Metadata Management, Content Classification, Content Moderation, or Data Labeling
- Proven ability to handle repetitive, meticulous, and high-volume data validation tasks with extreme attention to detail
- Strong pattern recognition, critical thinking, and ability to interpret complex product guidelines
- Prior familiarity with HR frameworks, recruitment platforms, or job board taxonomy structures
- Basic knowledge of SQL or advanced data manipulation in Excel / Google Sheets
- Experience working with LLMs/AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) for data annotation, prompt evaluation, or model tuning
- Background in Linguistics, Translation, Information Science, or Data Analytics
