The Strategic Global Account Manager will work closely with regional sales and engineering teams to drive long-term growth with global OEM customers, influencing customer direction and representing Microchip's portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Builds multi-year account plans aligned to customer roadmaps, business priorities, and end markets, identifying where Microchip can create differentiated long-term value
- Communicates with clarity and executive presence across technical teams, commercial decision-makers, and senior leadership
- Uses business and technical insight to shape customer thinking, influence solution selection, and connect Microchip technologies to customer outcomes
- Builds trusted relationships across engineering, procurement, and business leadership while aligning internal stakeholders globally
- Leads priority opportunities from engagement through revenue realization with strong follow-through and commercial judgment
- Coordinates field, factory, and global resources while turning customer insight into clear priorities, visibility, and action
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline
- 3 to 5 years of semiconductor or OEM sales experience with technically complex, multi-site or global customers
- Demonstrated success driving design wins, expanding business, or increasing account influence in a technical sales environment
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, product marketing, and regional sales teams, with the ability to influence without formal authority
- Willingness to travel 20 to 30 percent
- Industrial or complex OEM market knowledge preferred
