HICO America is looking for a highly organized and self-motivated Southeastern Outside Sales Manager who will drive sales and marketing activities across their product suite. The role involves developing relationships with clients and managing a team of sales representatives to grow revenue and profitability in the power industry.
Responsibilities
- Driving the Sales & Marketing activities across the HICO America suite of products including Power Transformers and Shunt Reactors, Gas-insulated Switching Devices, High Voltage Gas Circuit Breakers and FACTS Solutions
- Developing and maintaining relationships across the territory by managing a team of local sales representatives and through direct contact with client representatives
- Growing sales revenue and profitability across all the HICO America product lines
- Collaborating with several internal and external divisions to deliver problem solving solutions to the power industry
- Travel within the given territory for customer visits, conferences, trade shows and technical committee meetings
- Applying modern and legacy networking techniques to build relationships and deliver value to the client base
- Preparing and delivering Power Point presentations including the use of virtual communication platforms
Skills
- Must be local to a state on the Southeast region of the United States to service this territory
- Travel within the given territory for customer visits, conferences, trade shows and technical committee meetings. International travel will be required on an occasional basis
- College level degree
- Proficient understanding and use of professional selling techniques
- Applies modern and legacy networking techniques to build relationships and deliver value to the client base
- Proficient in preparing and delivering Power Point presentations including the use of virtual communication platforms
- Experience selling into the Transmission, Distribution and Renewable market
- Bachelor of Science in engineering, or business from an accredited university
- Computer Skill Requirements: Microsoft Office Suite Skills required with Advanced Knowledge working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams/360
- Ability to self-control under pressure and fast-paced work-environment
- Ability to meet required deadline
- Ability to build trusty and co-operative relationship with suppliers, customers, co-workers, and management team
- Engineering degree is strongly preferred
- Advanced Degree Preferred (MBA)
- Experience selling complex construction type projects (working understanding and experience selling complete substation solutions preferred)
- Asset based selling preferred
