[Remote] Senior Software Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and improve systems for their advertising platform, focusing on both backend and client-facing features.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across our frontend and backend systems, with a strong emphasis on clean, maintainable code
• Contribute to the design and implementation of UI components that give teams and clients strong visibility into system behavior and performance
• Support backend services with a focus on data accuracy, system reliability, and operational excellence
• Collaborate with teammates to enhance observability and monitoring through dashboards, alerts, and instrumentation
• Contribute to the design and implementation of ad-tech-scale data and ML solutions
• Write automated tests and contribute to ongoing improvements in tooling, coverage, and quality
• Participate in code reviews, share feedback, and help drive alignment on technical decisions
• Collaborate with product and engineering partners to scope work, refine requirements, and deliver features on time

Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer working with modern frontend and backend technologies
• Background in adtech, including hands-on experience with ad serving, pixels, tracking, measurement, or related systems
• Solid backend development skills. We use Golang, but experience with any modern backend language is welcome
• Comfortable working with automated testing frameworks and contributing to an overall testing culture
• Strong communicator who works well with cross-functional teams and enjoys solving complex problems in a collaborative environment
• A thoughtful engineer who cares about reliability, usability, and building things the right way
• Strong experience with React or a comparable frontend framework preferred
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Looker, OpenTelemetry, Centry, or New Relic
• A strong interest in data science/machine learning concepts, or hands-on experience with high-throughput, ad-tech scale data solutions
