About the Role Our client is a rapidly growing remote-first educational technology company looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Instructional Designer to join their world-class team. The role involves designing and developing engaging, effective, and interactive online courses and learning modules that leverage the latest pedagogical research and technological advancements. You will work closely with subject matter experts, multimedia developers, and project managers to bring learning concepts to life. Key Responsibilities Design and develop engaging, interactive, and media-rich online learning content and curricula using various authoring tools and technologies. Collaborate effectively with remote subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content, ensure accuracy, and translate complex information into accessible learning materials. Apply adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create effective learning solutions across different modalities. Develop assessment strategies, including quizzes, tests, and projects, to measure learning outcomes and ensure content mastery. Write clear, concise, and engaging learning objectives, content narratives, and scripts for multimedia elements. Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, maintaining high standards of quality. Provide constructive feedback to multimedia developers and other team members to ensure the highest quality learning products. Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in instructional design, e-learning, and educational technology. Contribute to the continuous improvement of instructional design processes and standards within the organization. Champion user-centered design principles to ensure an optimal learning experience for all students. Requirements Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or a closely related field. Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing e-learning courses and digital learning solutions. Proven expertise with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar. Demonstrated experience in creating assessments and evaluating learning effectiveness. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly. Strong project management skills and experience working with remote teams and managing project timelines. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively in a distributed virtual setting. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and understanding of SCORM/xAPI standards. A portfolio demonstrating successful online course design and development projects is required. Familiarity with multimedia development (video, audio, graphics) is a plus.
