Our client, a prominent leader in the aviation sector, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Flight Operations Specialist to join their fully remote team. This position is critical for ensuring the seamless and efficient execution of flight operations, adhering to the strictest safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of aviation regulations, flight planning, dispatch procedures, and crew management. You will be responsible for optimizing flight schedules, managing operational logistics, and coordinating with flight crews, air traffic control, and ground support personnel. This remote role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US, provided you can maintain a stable internet connection and adhere to all operational requirements. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all aspects of flight operations for a fleet of aircraft, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company policies. Develop and execute complex flight plans, considering weather, air traffic, fuel requirements, and operational constraints. Coordinate with pilots, air traffic control, maintenance, and ground operations to ensure timely and efficient flight scheduling. Monitor flight progress and make real-time adjustments as necessary due to changing conditions. Manage crew scheduling, duty times, and rest periods to comply with regulations and optimize resource utilization. Prepare and disseminate operational briefings and updates to flight crews and relevant stakeholders. Maintain accurate flight logs and operational records in accordance with regulatory requirements. Act as a primary point of contact for flight crews during operations, providing support and guidance. Participate in the development and implementation of operational procedures and safety protocols. Conduct post-flight analysis to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and safety. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in flight operations, dispatch, or a related aviation role. FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certification (or equivalent) is highly preferred. In-depth knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), particularly Part 91, Part 121, or Part 135. Proven experience with flight planning software and systems. Strong understanding of meteorology, navigation, and aviation weather products. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills under pressure. Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
