They are seeking a Senior Director Analyst to lead within the Business and Technology Insights group, focusing on B2B marketing data operations and governance strategy while advising clients on complex marketing challenges.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality actionable advice to an executive client audience through a variety of formats
- Write evidence-based content that is clear and actionable
- Create and deliver presentations for webinars and other client-facing Gartner events
- Deliver outstanding sales and service support to retain and grow the Gartner business
- Build credibility as an industry expert to represent Gartner research, methodology and strategy
- Actively participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions and collaborate effectively with peers in our research community
- Be a mentor and a coach by supporting more junior team members
Skills
- Hands-on experience as a data operations professional for a B2B company (technology companies preferred), with a marketing focus either in a corporate or for large business unit or equivalent agency side including:
- Experience architecting and deploying context layers and AI agents at scale within marketing environments
- Deep knowledge of permissions management, data security, and regulatory compliance in the context of AI-driven marketing operation
- Track record of building and scaling data operations that support advanced AI use cases, including context-aware personalization and autonomous agent workflows
- Establishing and enforcing robust lineage tracking, compliance frameworks, and permission/policy controls for all data and AI-driven processes, ensuring regulatory adherence and ethical use of data
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of relevant B2B marketing data experience
- Deep understanding of data management, data integration architectures, API standards, data pipeline development, and familiarity with emerging technologies in AI agents
- An informed understanding of the challenges facing marketing leaders within the enterprise and drivers of business impact
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable business insights. This includes strong analytical capabilities to align data operations with broader marketing strategies and revenue goals
- Demonstrated executive presence; can immediately establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality deliverables
- Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions
- Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data; can effectively apply patterns and frameworks while drawing and defending conclusions to client challenges
- Strong communicator who is able to explain complex concepts concisely and simply
- Subject matter expert comfortable presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements
- Ability to work independently, while also being intrinsically motivated to collaborate across teams and support the workflow of others, in a multicultural global team
- Ability to represent Gartner's research methodology and strategies effectively at all levels
- Graduate degree preferred
