[Remote] Senior CDN & Cloud Network Engineer

Redfin is revolutionizing the real estate industry, and they are seeking a Senior CDN & Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and support network and identity solutions in a public cloud (AWS). The role involves leading cloud strategy, solving complex technical problems, and promoting technical excellence while collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of Redfin’s cloud strategy by architecting scalable, elegant solutions that balance immediate business needs with long-term infrastructure investments and "big picture" technical health
• Design and implement high-quality, reliable cloud networking solutions, proactively managing technical ambiguity and risks to ensure high performance across the organization
• Partner with SEO, Platform, and Infosec teams to resolve cross-team dependencies and drive consensus on infrastructure security, resolving obstacles to ensure successful project completion
• Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code while mentoring peers through insightful code reviews and identifying process improvements to make the entire team more efficient
• Define and track key engineering metrics for cloud services, leveraging your deep systems knowledge to drive measurable improvements in scaling, performance, and cost-efficiency

Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on cloud platform management experience, preferably in AWS including: Cloud Networking: CloudFront, API Gateway, VPC, WAF, Shield, Route53, VPC Lattice, AWS Client VPN
• Experience with cloud platform observability tooling such as Datadog and CloudWatch
• 2+ years of experience in establishing, managing, and scaling a multi-account or multi-project cloud based environment
• Deep passion for Infrastructure as Code and can leverage tools such as Terraform, Spacelift, Terraform Cloud, Atlantis or CloudFormation
• 3+ years of experience with a scripting language such as javascript, Python or node
• Cloud Governance: Control Tower, Service Catalog, Account Factory IAM, AWS IAM Identity Center, AWS Organizations, Cognito
