They are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounting and finance team, responsible for the accounting close and financial reporting process, including SEC reporting and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Own month-end close deliverables: prepare and post journal entries, complete balance sheet reconciliations, and deliver P&L flux and variance analysis on timeAssist with month-end close, preparing supporting schedules, journal entires and balance sheet reconciliation processes
- Prepare or review bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies
- Assist with preparation and review of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) on form 10-Q/K and other SEC related filings
- Assist with integrating newly acquired companies into Datavault accounting operations
- Assist with revenue, lease, stock based compensation and purchase accounting entries
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by working with the financial planning and analysis group
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
- Support external tax preparation by providing requested support
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
- Monitor and improve accounting systems and internal controls
- Supervise junior accounting staff (if applicable)
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–7+ years of accounting experience (depending on organization)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- Experience in accounting software (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle)
- Advanced Excel skills
- CPA, or equivalent certification preferred
