Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. TSI Group is seeking a commercially driven Sales Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts across the US. This role involves developing new business opportunities and expanding existing accounts to deliver sustainable revenue and margin growth aligned with the company’s strategic priorities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing current accounts, prospective accounts, building a pipeline of opportunities / in the territory that ensures regional revenue and growth targets are met
- Responsible to meet or exceed territory budget and profitability targets each year
- Sales Lead and account management for all assigned accounts in territory
- Responsible for developing strategic growth strategies within the identified key current territory accounts
- Responsible for identifying and developing new prospects and new opportunities that support territory growth objectives
- Work in conjunction with cross functional leadership (Territory Regional Sales Director, Product Line Business Development teams, and the Chief Product Officer to identify broader business development opportunities and strategies
- Build a pipeline of new business for short, medium, and long-term growth targets
- Cultivate and develop relationships across the customer’s organization at all levels, and identify the customer decision making process (including the key decision makers)
- Serve as the link of communication between identified prospective customers and internal support teams
- Keep Account/Prospect and associated information up to date in CRM (account planning) and prepare customer and prospect reports as required by Leadership
- Mobilize internal resources to ensure differentiated customer service experience
- Work jointly with marketing team to utilize marketing resources for effectively tapping into and supporting accounts
- Acquire and analyze market information related to the accounts with respect to mergers, acquisitions, investments, expansion, etc
- Continually monitor the activities of competitors and threats to the business
- Support the overall organization to identify and map business strengths and market requirements
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in sales and or business development in the dietary supplement, API or functional food industry
- Must be customer focused, a good project manager with attention to detail, deadline-oriented prompt follow through
- You are a business leader who can think and execute strategically
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- Comfortable in contract and term sheet negotiation
- Cross functional team leadership
- Travel required (50%+)
- S. / B.A. in applicable field of study including but not limited to life sciences, engineering, marketing, and business administration
- Self starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Science degree preferred
- MBA is a plus
