The Sales Director is responsible for driving profitable sales growth in the Southeast region by expanding new business and enhancing existing account penetration while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver a regional sales growth plan, including new business acquisition targets, competitor displacement goals, and account penetration priorities
- Lead, coach, and hold the sales team accountable to prospecting discipline and opportunity conversion
- Build joint growth plans with key distributor leadership
- Execute pricing, value proposition, product, and go-to-market initiatives
- Run monthly regional reviews to drive pipeline health and forecast accuracy
- Coach and develop high-performance sales teams
- Build talent capability in competitive selling and growth mindset
- Lead key customer and distributor relationships
- Own regional escalation and resolution
- Partner with pricing, quoting, operations, product and marketing teams
- Remove barriers to competitive wins
- Monitor pipeline coverage, win rates, and conversion metrics
- Manage T&E budget for ROI
- Lead monthly RAC reviews
- Communicate performance and growth actions
Skills
- BS/BA in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Industrial Distribution, or related field
- Proven sales leadership with incremental growth and competitive share gain
- CRM, Microsoft Office
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and value-selling skills
