Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. KINO is building the secure workflow layer for film and television. They are seeking a Sales Development Representative to create new relationships across the industry, research target accounts, and engage with key decision-makers to support their sales growth.
Responsibilities
- Research target companies, productions, and key decision-makers
- Generate qualified opportunities through email, phone, LinkedIn, industry events, and creative outbound campaigns
- Build personalized outreach based on each prospect’s role, projects, and current workflow
- Re-engage past conversations, inactive leads, and existing industry relationships
- Qualify prospects based on their needs, authority, timing, and fit for ScreenKey
- Book and prepare qualified meetings for the sales team and founders
- Maintain accurate activity, account, and opportunity data in our CRM
- Test new messaging, audiences, and outreach channels
- Share insights from prospects to improve our positioning, product, and sales strategy
- Consistently meet activity, meeting, and pipeline targets
Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, production, post-production, studio coordination, distribution, or a related field
- Familiarity with film and television production workflows, hierarchy, and terminology
- Experience with outbound prospecting, CRM systems, and sales engagement tools
- A background at a studio, production company, post facility, distributor, agency, or entertainment technology company is a major advantage
- You enjoy starting conversations and are not discouraged by rejection
- You write clear, personable emails that do not sound automated
- You are comfortable speaking with senior executives and industry professionals
- You are naturally curious and willing to deeply research an account before reaching out
- You are highly organized and reliable with follow-up
- You are comfortable working in a fast-moving startup where processes are still being built
- You take feedback well and actively look for ways to improve
- You care about hitting your own goals while helping the broader team succeed
- Existing entertainment industry relationships are helpful, but not required
