Verus Mortgage Capital is a non-agency mortgage company seeking a dynamic and results-driven Wholesale Sales Manager to lead a team of Account Executives. This role focuses on driving sales performance, building client relationships, and overseeing account management to contribute to the company's growth in the wholesale mortgage market.
Responsibilities
- Upon joining, you are expected to bring 2–3 experienced sales professionals as part of your team and actively recruit additional talent to enhance market coverage
- Train, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Account Executives
- Set individual and team goals, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to achieve targets
- Foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture that aligns with the company’s values and mission
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth in the non-agency mortgage market
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriting, operations, and marketing, to streamline processes and enhance client satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and other key partners to expand the company’s network and market presence
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and meetings to promote services and build brand awareness
- Ensure customer needs are met by addressing concerns promptly and providing exceptional service
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior leadership
- Identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to optimize sales productivity and efficiency
- Manage sales budgets and ensure alignment with company objectives
Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in wholesale mortgage sales, with a focus on non-agency products
- Minimum 2+ years managing a wholesale non-Agency sales team
- Deep understanding of wholesale mortgage products, particularly non-agency loans
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions
- Proficiency in Salesforce software and other sales tools
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred, or comparable professional experience
