Distributor Wire & Cable is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to generate business opportunities within Texas by developing and maintaining long-term relationships with customers. The role involves achieving sales goals, collaborating with marketing, and creating strategic travel schedules to cover the assigned region effectively.
Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly sales goals, for order quantity and gross profit, by cultivating new and existing accounts
- Maximize daily efficiency by mastering sales, scheduling and communication tools available in proprietary software
- Collaborate with marketing to convey the DWC brand to distribution partners
- Travel to customers to develop and grow relationships
- Create and maintain a strategic travel schedule to fully cover the assigned region and key accounts throughout the year
- Book flights, rental cars, and travel accommodations in a timely, organized, and economic manner
- Create thorough call reports that provide lead generation, market intel, and drive business strategy for assigned region
- Provide reports on vertical and horizontal expansion, new clients and current customer satisfaction measures
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within accounts and develop deep knowledge of the client organization
- Develop tactical plans for targeting and growing the market
- Show consistent improvement in sales, sales visits and prospects to clients, new projects and client revenue growth
- Keep abreast of current and future business trends
- Liaison on significant customer issues, when required, to preserve customer relationships
- Leverage current relationships at the local and regional customer level to assist in driving additional revenue
- Monitor and report on actions and strategy against plans
- Analyze customer accounts for potential opportunities and sales strategies
- Collaborate with Account Managers on high level market penetration strategies and execution
- Promote company culture through leadership behavior
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Minimum 5 years of sales experience
- Must be willing to travel up to 75% yearly
- Must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 pounds, occasional bending and reaching
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business or communication preferred
- Experience in the electrical wire and cable industry preferred
- Candidate will ideally be based in either DFW or West Texas
