Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Precision Sales Recruiting is representing a creative manufacturer of custom structural display systems for the trade show and event industry. The Regional Account Executive will manage a defined territory, focusing on new business development and building relationships with clients in the trade show sector.
Responsibilities
- You will own a defined territory and operate with the autonomy of running your own book of business, while being backed by a company that is fully invested in your success
- The mix is heavily new business: roughly 75 percent prospecting and closing net new accounts, with about 25 percent managing and growing the relationships you bring in
- You keep the commission on what you build, and as your book grows, you have a path to either keep managing it yourself or hand the account management piece to a dedicated account director while you keep hunting
- You will be calling on trade show exhibit houses, event production companies, and the brands and agencies that build out booths and experiential environments
- Many of your buyers think in terms of blueprints, builds, and physical structures, so the ability to read a build spec, understand how something goes together, and contribute creative ideas to a design conversation will set you apart immediately
- Travel runs about one day a week on average for regional visits, plus roughly once a month for a longer trip to a major trade show market like Las Vegas, Anaheim, or Dallas
- This is an in person, relationship driven industry, and the company wants their salesperson visible and building trust face to face
- You will also have a sales leader who sees support as part of the job, not a favor
Skills
- A genuine hunter. Someone who builds pipeline because they want to, not because they are told to
- Comfort with technical, build oriented conversations. If you can look at an assembly without instructions and figure out how it goes together, or you naturally think in terms of design and structure, you will thrive here
- A creative streak. The strongest fit has sold something with a design or aesthetic component, whether that is custom fabrication, cabinetry, signage, displays, or a related industrial or build oriented product
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, though strong, provable sales history can offset its absence
- Based in or willing to be based in a major Texas city or Las Vegas is ideal, given the customer concentration in those markets, though candidates throughout the territory will be considered

- Health insurance starting day one
