About the Role Our client, a leader in predictive analytics and AI solutions, is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join their fully remote R&D team. This pivotal role will involve designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated machine learning models and systems at scale. You will be instrumental in pushing the boundaries of ML capabilities, architecting robust MLOps pipelines, and mentoring a team of talented engineers. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable machine learning systems and MLOps pipelines. Develop, train, and deploy ML models for various applications, including prediction, classification, and recommendation systems. Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate ML models into production environments. Optimize model performance, efficiency, and reliability. Architect and implement robust data processing and feature engineering frameworks. Ensure the quality, scalability, and maintainability of ML code and infrastructure. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and MLOps. Mentor and guide junior machine learning engineers and contribute to technical strategy. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production ML systems. Document ML systems, processes, and model performance. Requirements Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering with a strong focus on machine learning. Proven experience in building and deploying ML models in production environments at scale. Deep understanding of ML algorithms, statistical modeling, and MLOps principles. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Strong software engineering skills, including experience with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and system design skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently in a fully remote setting.
