The Principal Financial Analyst will report to the Associate Director of Global Financial Planning & Analysis, responsible for creating global reporting, ensuring data integrity, and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating and preparing all Global reporting for monthly performance, forecasts, and annual budgets, including Revenue to Gross Profit by Product line, P&L statements, and management dashboards with advanced Excel capabilities to manage complex datasets
- Ensures data integrity across large datasets by reconciling financial data between source systems and reporting outputs, maintaining robust controls, and liaising between BPC and regional teams to prepare tie-out adjustments as required
- Identifies opportunities to streamline reporting through automation, maintains and improves reporting processes, and develops complex Excel models to support financial reporting while documenting procedures
- Plays a key role in supporting integration activities related to reporting and modeling utilizing multiple data sources, particularly for the Global Advanced Diagnostics business
- Produces clear, structured reports suitable for both finance and leadership stakeholders, supports preparation of presentation decks for leadership, and provides ad hoc performance reporting for Global DS as needed
Skills
- B.S. degree required with a focus in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in an Accounting/Finance function required including experience partnering with stakeholders
- Must be highly proficient working with MS Excel and reasonably proficient with other common applications such as MS Word and MS PowerPoint
- Must possess working knowledge of financial statements and analytical techniques to effectively interpret and present financial data, including comparing data against budgets and forecasts
- Good working knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and corporate finance policy guidelines
- The ability to develop strong relationships and collaborate effectively with Advanced Diagnostics finance associates is crucial for fulfilling the responsibilities of this position
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, possess the ability to multi-task, should be well organized, possess good analytical and communication skills and have good attention to detail and quality oriented
- CPA / CA / MBA or equivalent or working toward qualification
- Knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting
- Working knowledge of SAP, BPC and PowerBI, highly preferred
