[Remote] NFL - Firewall Network Administrator - L2

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Algoworks is seeking a motivated Network Security Administrator to assist in the management, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise firewall and network security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of networking concepts and security principles, and will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting firewall devices, collaborating with teams, and maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide NFL Game Day monitoring, support and troubleshooting of NFL firewall devices
• Collaborate with network, server, and cybersecurity teams to troubleshoot application related issues
• Analyze firewall logs and security events to identify potential issues, threats or policy violations
• Participate in Enterprise firewall policy reviews and cleanup/optimization activities
• Maintain accurate documentation of firewall configurations, network diagrams, and change records
• Review, implement, and document firewall rule changes according to established procedures
• Respond to incidents and service requests related to firewall operations
• Follow change management processes and security best practices

Skills

• MUST HAVE Experience with Palo Alto Next Generation firewalls and Panorama
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, DNS/DHCP, and BGP technologies
• Familiarity with firewall concepts such as security zones, security policies, NAT, policy-based forwarding and threat prevention
• Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot connectivity issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Experience with Cisco Meraki MX security devices, Zscaler and/or Prisma Access is a plus
• Ability to interpret packet captures with tools like Wireshark
• Familiarity with SIEM and log analysis tools
• Knowledge of cloud networking and security concepts
• Basic scripting experience with Python and/or PowerShell
• Relevant certifications such as: Palo Alto Networks Certifications (PSNSA, PSNSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
