The Sales Engineering Manager will lead a team of Enterprise Sales Engineers, focusing on identifying customer needs and providing technical support throughout the sales process.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the sales team to identify customer requirements and design solutions that meet their needs
- Provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales process, including conducting product demonstrations and presentations
- Prepare technical proposals and respond to requests for proposals (RFPs)
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to provide feedback and input into the product roadmap
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products and solutions and stay up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies in the security industry
- Work with the marketing team to develop technical marketing materials, such as whitepapers and solution briefs, that support our sales efforts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and industry experts
Skills
- Experienced in endpoint or network security space – AV, EDR, incident response, forensics, SIEM, firewall, HIPS/IDS, etc
- Strong understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
- Can easily articulate complex security problems to a set of audiences
- Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Can work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Support, and Engineering; the Sales Engineer should be the technical bridge between CrowdStrike and prospects/customers
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including C-level executives
- Extensive contacts in the information security field and strong references
- Strong understanding of MEDDIC based sales process and how to effectively communicate technical solutions to customers and prospects
- Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
- Sales engineering background or 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Ability to travel as required
- Experience with malware, threat intelligence, and/or sandbox analysis
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash
- Experience with virtualization/VDI technologies
- Experience with large scale cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc
- Understanding of the OSI model
- Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, and SANS
