The Lead Credit and Collections Analyst is responsible for overseeing credit and collection functions, ensuring compliance with guidelines, and maintaining records on credit risks.
Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with established guidelines, guidelines reviews and monitors credit sources, credit files, customer applications and delinquent accounts
- Oversees the process of gathering, compiling, and maintaining basic credit information
- Maintains records on credit risks, delinquent accounts and incomplete files
- Sets up and/or obtains approval to set up new accounts and/or job accounts
- Responds to all communications and requests for assistance from the branches in a timely manner
Skills
- Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas
- Generally 7+ years of experience in area of responsibility
- Commercial construction industry collection experience in the NY market - REQUIRED
- Experience with Oracle and getpaid - Preferred
- Lien and Bond claim experience
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Experience training, coaching, and developing team members
- Experience following clearly defined policies and procedures
- Must be good working with customers (potential for customer facing)
