Fortvita Biologics is a San Francisco Bay Area–based biopharmaceutical company advancing next-generation biologics to address critical health needs. The Director/Senior Director, Global Commercial Strategy & Analytics will support global commercialization efforts across oncology and general medicine assets, focusing on portfolio strategy, commercial planning, forecasting, and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Support development of global commercialization strategies for pipeline and in-line assets across oncology and general medicine
- Lead market opportunity assessments, commercial viability analyses, and portfolio prioritization exercises
- Support geographic expansion strategies with emphasis on Europe (EU5 + UK) and other ex-China markets
- Develop strategic business cases supporting investment, launch sequencing, partnership, and commercialization decisions
- Partner with leadership to assess self-commercialization, hybrid, partnership, and out-licensing scenarios
- Lead commercial forecasting efforts across pipeline programs using epidemiology, market share, pricing, and competitive assumptions
- Build long-range revenue models and scenario planning analyses
- Develop launch forecasts and lifecycle planning assumptions for new assets
- Generate strategic analytics to support Board, executive committee, and investor discussions
- Build KPI frameworks, dashboards, and performance tracking metrics for commercial priorities
- Monitor competitive landscape, emerging pipeline developments, pricing dynamics, and market trends
- Deliver actionable competitive insights to senior leadership
- Support congress intelligence gathering and market monitoring (e.g., ASCO, ESMO, AACR, WCLC)
- Develop executive-level presentations, Board materials, strategic recommendations, and decision-support analyses
- Translate complex analytics into concise, executive-ready recommendations
- Support governance meetings, alliance discussions, and Joint Commercial Committee (JCC) activities with strategic partners
- Collaborate with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Clinical, Market Access, Finance, and BD teams to align commercial assumptions and strategy
- Partner with alliance and regional teams to ensure global commercialization readiness
- Manage external vendors and strategic analytics partners as needed
- 3 years experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including coaching, performance management, and career development across diverse talent profile
- Support development of Fortvita’s 10-year global commercial strategy
- Build integrated forecasting models across prioritized pipeline assets
- Establish commercial KPI framework and analytics dashboards
- Support launch planning and market opportunity assessments for priority oncology and general medicine assets
- Deliver executive and Board-ready strategic analyses to support commercialization investment decisions
- Support alliance governance and Takeda-related commercial planning activities
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, MPH, PhD, PharmD, or related field)
- 8+ years (Director) or 10+ years (Senior Director) of experience in biopharma commercial strategy, analytics, forecasting, business insights, consulting, or commercial planning
- Strong experience in oncology commercialization
- Demonstrated forecasting and strategic analytics expertise
- Experience supporting launch readiness and pipeline commercialization planning
- Strong financial modeling and Excel capabilities
- Experience preparing executive and Board-level presentations
- Experience in global and/or EU commercialization strategy
- Background in biotech, oncology, immunology, or specialty therapeutics
- Experience in pre-commercial or high-growth biotech environments
- Experience working with partnerships or alliance models preferred
