Valor Protection Safety Agency is entering a significant stage of operational growth and is seeking a seasoned Director of Operations to lead the structure, discipline, and execution required to support that growth. This role is responsible for the daily performance of the agency’s field operations, ensuring operational standards are consistently executed across every contract and client environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily safety and security operations across assigned contracts, posts, officers, supervisors, sergeants, field leadership, and operational support teams
- Ensure proper post coverage, scheduling accuracy, timekeeping compliance, attendance accountability, officer deployment, and staffing readiness
- Lead and manage field leadership, including sergeants, supervisors, and other operational support roles
- Oversee deployment planning for daily operations, special assignments, emergency coverage, and client-specific needs
- Oversee event staffing operations, including staffing plans, officer deployment, site instructions, leadership assignments, post coverage, and after-action review
- Oversee the command center, including dispatch coordination, operational communication, escalation tracking, incident intake, routine incident reporting, and real-time coverage monitoring
- Monitor officer activity, officer performance, field reporting, supervisor reporting, command center reporting, and incident documentation to ensure operational accuracy and accountability
- Oversee fleet management, including vehicle assignments, readiness, usage expectations, accountability, maintenance coordination, and operational deployment needs
- Enforce company standards related to uniforms, grooming, professionalism, post conduct, reporting, communication, client expectations, and chain-of-command procedures
- Ensure operational compliance with applicable Georgia state regulations, company policies, client requirements, post orders, and internal safety standards
- Oversee officer corrective action, disciplinary action, performance coaching, and operational accountability
- Support and lead officer investigations related to conduct, attendance, professionalism, post performance, incident response, client concerns, policy violations, and operational compliance
- Maintain officer morale by ensuring field staff are supported, heard, corrected when needed, and led with consistency, fairness, and professionalism
- Develop, review, and implement post orders, site expectations, operational procedures, reporting standards, deployment models, and field leadership expectations
- Conduct operational audits, site inspections, field assessments, post reviews, uniform checks, reporting reviews, supervisor check-ins, and quality-control evaluations
- Identify operational gaps and implement solutions that improve coverage, consistency, communication, compliance, performance, officer accountability, and client confidence
- Lead operational change management as the agency continues to grow, including new systems, new contracts, expanded service lines, updated reporting processes, new post structures, and strengthened field leadership models
- Oversee operational systems, including scheduling platforms, timekeeping tools, reporting systems, officer activity tracking, command center workflows, fleet-related tracking, and other systems used to manage daily operations
- Partner with Human Resources, Learning & Development, Partnerships, and Executive Leadership to ensure staffing, training, onboarding, corrective action, client needs, regulatory requirements, and operational performance remain aligned
- Support scaling operations by building the structure, accountability, leadership routines, systems, and processes needed for sustainable growth
- Respond to operational emergencies, call-offs, client escalations, officer concerns, coverage issues, field incidents, and urgent staffing needs with professionalism and sound judgment
Skills
- Prior leadership experience in private security, public safety, law enforcement, military, emergency management, school safety, healthcare security, event security, or large-scale field operations
- Proven experience leading operations, managing field teams, overseeing supervisors, and driving accountability across multiple posts, contracts, or service locations
- Strong experience with scheduling, timekeeping, post coverage, officer deployment, field performance, incident reporting, corrective action, operational auditing, and service delivery
- Strong communication, documentation, investigation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead with accountability, consistency, urgency, professionalism, and emotional control
- Positive outlook with the ability to motivate teams, solve problems, adapt quickly, and move operations forward
- Forward-leaning thinker who can identify gaps, improve systems, support change, and help build scalable operational infrastructure
- Comfortable managing multiple contracts, officers, supervisors, urgent issues, client expectations, and operational priorities at the same time
- Must be highly organized, dependable, proactive, field-oriented, and able to represent Valor Protection Safety Agency with excellence
- Experience with fleet management, command center operations, event staffing, operational systems, or safety-related compliance is strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Georgia private security regulations, licensing expectations, officer compliance, or state-level security requirements is preferred
