NoteSight is a fast-growing online education platform connecting students with expert tutors across AP courses, test prep, and academic subjects. They are seeking an experienced Curriculum Writer and Editor to develop and refine high-quality test prep content for both the ACT and SAT, ensuring accuracy and clarity in instructional materials.
Responsibilities
- Create original, exam-aligned practice questions, answer choices, and detailed answer explanations for all ACT and SAT sections
- Write and edit strategy guides, lesson plans, and instructional content for tutors and students
- Edit existing curriculum content for accuracy, clarity, tone, and alignment with current ACT and SAT formats
- Develop full-length or section-specific practice tests that closely mirror official exam difficulty and structure
- Ensure all content aligns with the latest College Board (SAT) and ACT, Inc. frameworks and scoring guidelines
- Review and revise content based on tutor and student feedback to improve clarity and effectiveness
- Maintain consistent voice, formatting, and difficulty calibration across all content deliverables
- Collaborate with the NoteSight team to prioritize and meet content development deadlines
Skills
- 3+ years of experience writing or editing curriculum for the ACT and/or SAT
- Deep, current knowledge of both ACT and SAT formats, sections, question types, and scoring
- Demonstrated ability to write original, exam-quality questions across all test sections
- Strong editorial skills — grammar, clarity, consistency, and pedagogical accuracy
- Experience working within style guides, content frameworks, or editorial workflows
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple content deliverables and meet deadlines
- Excellent written communication skills
- Must be located in the United States or Canada
- Portfolio or writing samples of test prep content required and available upon request
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, English, Mathematics, or a related field
