Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sentinel Technologies is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support and design cloud and virtualization solutions. This role involves onboarding new customers, supporting data center migrations, and maintaining critical cloud infrastructure while requiring strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience in server hardware, virtualization, cloud integrations, and security to ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance
- Design, implement, and manage mission-critical data center infrastructure
- Strong understanding of server virtualization, storage systems, and hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) solutions
- Provide senior-level technical support and system engineering for all Windows-based and Linux-based platforms including Active Directory, DNS, RDS
- Planning, executing, and overseeing the successful migration of data center infrastructure, applications, and services
- Considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more datacenter technologies
- Experience with Hyper-V/SystemCenter and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Participation in after-hours work (when needed) and OnCall rotation is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Nice to have public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) experience
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
- The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
- A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
Skills
- 5–7 years of industry experience to support and design cloud and virtualization solutions
- Strong expertise in VMware, Hyper-V, UCS, Linux, and Windows environments
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience in server hardware, virtualization, cloud integrations, and security to ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance
