Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. U Value Insulation Group is an established international company with over 40 years of experience in the building industry. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their dynamic sales team, responsible for creating a customer base and driving sales growth in insulation products.
Responsibilities
- Selling: insulation: drylining and associated products to contractors operating in domestic and commercial construction projects and at all stages of the build cycle – ground works, floor, fabric, envelope, roofing, retrofit
- Maximising opportunities from an existing ledger alongside business creation with new customers to achieve monthly sales and margin targets
- Work closely with the Branch Manager and Internal Sales team to obtain and convert enquiries into orders
- Exceed customer expectations to become the supplier of choice
Skills
- Previous experience working in the construction building distribution or related industry
- Hunger and determination to increases revenue streams from existing customers and source new customer business
- Commercially astute with demonstrable record of managing margins
- Effective sales knowledge of at least one of the following product sectors: insulation or drylining systems
- Effective sales knowledge of at least one of the following contractor sectors: drylining, ground workers, roofing, cladding, main contractor
- Experience of being accountable for a minimum annual sales budget of £2m p.a
- Exemplary work ethic and team player
- Strive for excellence in all sales and customer related matters
- Strong sales administration disciplines – quote management, CRM system, diary management etc
- Self-management to effectively operate in an external sales role, with diverse and widespread customers
