Continental is a leading tire manufacturer and industry specialist that develops and produces sustainable solutions for automotive manufacturers and industrial customers worldwide. The Application Engineer for Conveyor Products will be responsible for implementing engineering activities, providing on-site support, and ensuring quality standards for customer projects in Arizona.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and supervise implementation of related Application Engineering activities (Customer projects, technical changes, quality improvements)
- Conduct field inspections, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting for Conveyor Products
- Safeguards committed standards of quality guidelines (internal and external), quality awareness, customer quality targets and observes customer care commitments
- Segment strategy development and execution with their area of responsibility including deployment to and through their teams
- Analyze the market and technology and provide input to business strategies
- Aligns with Product Development and Product Management of requirements and needs for the region
- Attends strategic meetings with customers, conferences etc. to provide technical input or present the best engineered solution as possible
- Selects and suggests best suited product specification for the application
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering(preferred) or related technical degree
- 2+ years of experience in application engineering or a comparable function in the mining industry
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong MS Office suite experience (Excel and PPT)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Up to 50% travel to customer sites for application support, project execution, and field troubleshooting
- 5+ years of Mining Industry experience
- Experience with industrial conveyor systems
- Experience in direct customer facing roles
