Our client is seeking an innovative and dedicated Remote Agricultural Scientist specializing in Soil Health to join their forward-thinking agricultural research team. Key Responsibilities:
- Research & Development: Design, conduct, and analyze field and laboratory research experiments focused on soil health indicators, nutrient cycling, soil microbiome, and sustainable soil management techniques.
- Data Analysis & Interpretation: Collect, process, and interpret complex datasets related to soil properties, crop performance, and environmental factors. Utilize statistical software and modeling techniques.
- Knowledge Dissemination: Prepare scientific reports, research papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals, and presentations for conferences and industry events. Translate complex scientific findings into practical recommendations for farmers and agricultural stakeholders.
- Remote Collaboration: Actively participate in virtual team meetings, contributing to strategic planning and project development. Effectively communicate research progress and findings to internal teams and external partners via digital platforms.
- Grant Writing & Funding: Assist in identifying funding opportunities and preparing grant proposals to secure research grants and support for soil health initiatives.
- Technology Adoption: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in soil science, precision agriculture technologies, and remote sensing techniques relevant to soil health assessment and monitoring.
- Technical Support: Provide remote technical expertise and guidance to farmers, extension agents, and other agricultural professionals on best practices for soil health management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Soil Science, Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, or a closely related field with a strong emphasis on soil health.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant research experience in soil science, with a demonstrated publication record.
- Skills: Expertise in experimental design, soil sampling techniques, laboratory analysis, and statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SAS). Proficiency in data management and interpretation.
