Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CBIZ is seeking a hands-on Accounts Payable Manager to lead daily AP operations and manage a team. This role involves overseeing payment workflows in a fast-paced environment and driving execution across modern AP tools including Ramp.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day AP operations, including invoice intake, processing, and payments
- Lead and develop the AP team, ensuring accuracy and timely output
- Own and manage the AP inbox (Gmail), including intake, triage, and issue resolution
- Execute and oversee payment processing workflows, including:
- AP automation platforms (Ramp)
- Bill pay tools and banking platforms
- Brex (corporate cards / spend management)
- Manual payments (wires, ACH)
- Support and manage crypto-related payment processes where applicable
- Partner on and oversee cash reconciliations, including intake process alignment
- Manage a high-volume environment (~200 invoices) with strong attention to detail
- Operate across multiple systems/tools, ensuring data accuracy and workflow efficiency
- Identify gaps and help improve AP processes, automation, and controls
Skills
- 5–8+ years of Accounts Payable experience, including AP team leadership
- Strong expertise in full-cycle AP and payment processing
- High-volume invoice processing environments
- Experience with multiple systems (ERP + point solutions)
- Proven ability to ramp quickly and operate independently
- Strong organization skills, especially managing inbox-driven workflows
- AP automation tools (Ramp preferred)
- Brex or similar spend management platforms
