Regional Sales Manager – Eastern Canada

JOB SUMMARY: The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for learning the full line of MCR Safety and Tingley Rubber products (MCR Safety Group) and manages the business within their assigned territory which includes Ontario / Quebec and Atlantic Canada.  This position accommodates customer outbound calls, sample and literature requests, cross reference information, new product promotion, relationship building and travel. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to: National Sales Manager, Canada Normal work schedule will be approximately Monday – Friday. Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities: Position is set up to receive specific product line training to perform advanced sales duties, to include: Initiate sales engagement within the respected territory to promote the growth of sales within our distribution networks. Maintain daily records of sales activity within our CRM and online portals. Accurately prepare sales information and all other forms of communication, for both our distributors and end user activities. Attend sales meetings and product training Coordinate communications with other operations for proper handling of customer accounts, such as all warehouse areas, Traffic, Invoicing, Purchasing, and Accounts Receivable as needed. Help assist and support the independent sales representative agencies within the assigned territory. Focus on becoming the product expert on your product category by attending training, gaining experience from your customers, reading trade journals and studying the competition. Striving to become the subject matter expert and trusted partner.    Meet assigned quotas, sales objectives and behavior goals. Assist in development of both new distributors and product expansion within the territory. Evaluate strengths and weakness of product line(s) with respect to established competitors to obtain market share growth.   informing Purchasing of any unusual product requirements / contract changes to ensure proper inventory balance and last mile service. Establish relationships and identify ways to grow your sales with your distributors Participate in distributor training. Assist in end user calls and development.   Maintain positive attitude and open line of communication with co-workers and customers both internal and external Assist with special projects when needed Mind reports and customer data to identify sales opportunity within assigned territory Assist other teammates with projects, calls, bids special pricing and customer inquiries Perform other related duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Knowledge of: Sales and marketing techniques, computer and telephone operations, territory management and development, outbound selling, and excel in effective communication skills. Ability to:  Read, write, perform basic arithmetic, communicate effectively, handle multiple tasks, follow directions, and work safely in office environment. WORKING CONDITIONS: Travel: 75% Office 25% MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education (preferred level): High School Diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred. Knowledge/Experience/Skills: At least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the PPE industry, sales territory leadership considered a plus. Strong organizational, interpersonal skills, and communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be capable of sitting for extended periods of time.  Familiar with Microsoft office, Excel and PowerPoint.  Use of MS Dynamics considered a plus.   Candidate must be located in Ontario or Quebec.
