Rotating schedule that will include weekends Position Summary The Radiology Workflow Coordinator (RWC) supports RAF radiologists, referring physicians, site technologists, and other clinical and administrative stakeholders by serving as a central point of communication. Reporting to the Vice President of Technology, the RWC facilitates two-way communication, minimizes workflow interruptions, and ensures timely completion of requests. Using expertise in medical imaging informatics, radiology workflows, and related applications, the RWC monitors worklists, fulfills or routes requests, provides notifications, and supports all aspects of radiology and imaging informatics workflows for radiologists, staff, partner facilities, and referring providers. Major Duties & Responsibilities Radiology Workflow Support Facilitate two-way communication between RAF radiologists and partner facility contacts: Receive requests from radiologists and route to the appropriate facility, department, or resource. Receive requests from partner facility contacts and handle directly or route to the appropriate resource. Assist radiologists and IT in maintaining diagnostic workstations and third-party applications, including basic PC support, server familiarity, and network troubleshooting. Support radiologists, technologists, and stakeholders in optimizing PACS and IT workflows. Monitor worklists to ensure timely study readings and results delivery: Notify sites of QC issues (missing paperwork, additional imaging, priors requests). Communicate critical results and findings promptly. Provide bidirectional feedback to resolve issues efficiently. Manage procedure code mapping, including researching and mapping new or incorrect codes. Support QC initiatives and continuous quality improvement. Troubleshoot HL7 message workflows and collaborate with development teams when issues cannot be resolved directly.   Radiology Application and Interface Support Serve as a resource for applications across multiple platforms and interfaces. Support PACS/RIS interfaces with other clinical systems and affiliate institutions. Manage radiologist dictation templates: Create, update, and troubleshoot templates. Maintain and update procedure code mappings. Perform routine and point-in-time backups. Import templates for radiologists as needed. Respond promptly to system performance or availability issues, providing clear communication to staff and partner sites during incidents and confirming resolution. Track and manage internal and third-party service tickets from initiation to resolution.   General Support Assist with new account setups, onboarding, and training for physicians and staff. Maintain positive relationships with affiliated healthcare organizations and IT partners to ensure timely query resolution. Support administrators in maintaining, auditing, and ensuring compliance of application access rights. Office-based role with no routine off-hours work; occasional after-hours work may be required for emergencies. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. QualificationsQualifications Education and Experience Associate or bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field, medical informatics, or information technology is preferred.  Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree. Customer service / customer support experience required. Experience with radiology processes, procedures, and workflows in a hospital/clinical setting. Knowledge and experience with EMR, RIS, voice recognition system, DICOM modality worklists, integrated workflows, networks, typical HL7 integration and messaging, XML, HTML, medical modalities, image transmission, and remote support highly desired. Radiologic Technologist certification / licensure is preferred, or alternatively, experience in IT support with relevant IT certifications.
