Job Description:
• Ensure interrelating activities of trade partners, suppliers, vendors, and customers
• Responsible for organizational, leadership, communication, management, and problem-solving skills on projects
• Monitor and report on the financial status of projects and manage subcontract/contract administration
• Develop job progress schedule to ensure construction parallels with the schedule
• Purchase and monitor delivery of needed materials ensuring optimum prices and quality
• Negotiate contracts with trade partners and vendors, eliminating scope gap and limiting project risk
• Review and approve trade partner and vendor payment requests
• Evaluate change order requests from trade partners
• Work with design and engineering teams to ensure projects are designed/procured/constructed within operating guidelines
• Prepare and present various reports for project management including monthly red files, progress analysis/schedules, billings, status reports, etc.
• Organize and maintain job files to ensure continuity of workflow
• Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with scope
• Responsible for estimating efforts relative to projects and proposal preparation
Requirements:
• Minimum of eight years of experience in construction management
• Technical knowledge and experience supporting projects in a Project Manager II role or equivalent
• Preference for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture)
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and innovative programs/software
• Energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment
