About the Role
We’re seeking a creative, impact-motivated, results-driven UX/UI Designer who can take ownership of the GreenChoice mobile and web user experience.
This is not simply a visual design role. We are looking for someone who can think strategically about product experiences, identify user problems, propose solutions, and continuously improve how consumers interact with GreenChoice.
You will help shape the future of our consumer-facing products, including onboarding experiences, product discovery, food health insights, ingredient education, search experiences, premium features, and overall engagement.
The ideal candidate combines strong UX thinking, product intuition, user empathy, visual design skills, and experience designing consumer-facing digital products.
Experience designing products for U.S. consumer audiences is strongly preferred.
What You'll Own
Lead UX and UI design for GreenChoice's mobile app and web experiences
Identify friction points and opportunities throughout the customer journey
Improve onboarding, search, discovery, education, and engagement experiences
Conduct user research and translate findings into actionable product improvements
Create customer journey maps, user flows, personas, wireframes, and prototypes
Design low-fidelity and high-fidelity experiences using Figma
Develop and maintain scalable design systems and UI patterns
Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure designs are implemented accurately
Present design concepts, rationale, and recommendations to leadership
Evaluate competitors and emerging consumer health products to identify opportunities
Continuously test, iterate, and improve product experiences using data and user feedback
Help define future product features and strategic product direction
Requirements
Must-Have
5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, and UI Design
Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work from customer discovery to pixel perfect designs
Experience designing successful consumer-facing web and mobile applications
Experience using analytics tools to track and prioritize design improvements
Strong experience with Figma
Strong understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and interaction design
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment
Strong problem-solving skills and product thinking
Strong project management skills
Preferred
Experience designing software products for U.S. consumers
Experience in health, wellness, food, e-commerce, or related software products
Experience conducting user interviews and usability testing
Experience creating and maintaining design systems
Familiarity with modern AI-assisted design workflows
Basic understanding of front-end technologies and engineering constraints
What Success Looks Like
Within your first few months, you will:
Identify and improve key friction points in the GreenChoice user experience
Deliver meaningful improvements to onboarding and product discovery experiences
Establish a repeatable process for user-centered design and product iteration
Help GreenChoice stay competitive with leading consumer health and food technology products
Operate as the owner of product design, requiring minimal day-to-day direction
