Apply Now
ProMom (https://www.promom.ai/) is hiring a contract Senior/Principal Product Designer to help redesign the most important parts of our iPhone app. ProMom is the trusted AI operating system for modern motherhood. We help women navigate preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting with one trusted place for answers, planning, tracking, safety checks, product discovery, and personalized support. Modern motherhood can feel like too many tabs open at once. Our goal is to make it feel calmer, clearer, and more manageable. The design challenge is simple to describe and hard to solve: How do we make a feature-rich, high-trust maternal health app feel instantly useful, deeply personalized, and beautifully simple from the first visit? We are looking for a designer with exceptional mobile product judgment, strong iOS UX/UI craft, and the ability to turn complex workflows into a premium consumer app experience. What you will work on You will help redesign core parts of ProMom, including: • Onboarding: Make the first-time experience clear, personal, and compelling • Dashboard: Reimagine the home screen as a calm, personalized command center • Smart Calendar: Create a smarter experience for appointments, reminders, tasks, and work/life events • Maia: Improve our AI assistant experience across text, voice, and cross-feature actions • Tools Page: Make key features easier to discover, understand, and use • Journey Map: Shape a motivating progress experience across the motherhood journey You will work directly in our existing Figma files and design system and in collaboration with our current team including UX/UI designer, project manager and dev team. This is not a full visual rebrand. The goal is to elevate the product experience, improve information architecture, sharpen interaction design, and create polished user-centric designs ready for development. Who we are looking for You have designed high-quality consumer mobile apps and can show the work. You are especially strong at simplifying complex products with many interconnected features. You understand hierarchy, progressive disclosure, personalization, empty states, first-use clarity, and how to help users find what matters without overwhelming them. Strong candidates may have experience in: • Consumer iOS apps • Health, wellness, women’s health, fertility, pregnancy, parenting, medical, or mental health products • Calendar, productivity, habit, planning, or personal operating system apps • AI assistant, chatbot, voice, or personalized recommendation experiences • Feature-rich apps where information architecture and user focus are critical You should be highly skilled in Figma, comfortable working inside an existing design system, and able to move quickly from concept to prototype to implementation-ready design using AI-powered tools. We value speed, but not rushed thinking. The right designer can explore quickly, make strong decisions, explain tradeoffs clearly, and produce polished work that engineering can build. Details • Contract role with potential for longer-term work • Initial engagement: 4 to 8 weeks focused on core feature redesign • Potential to extend for additional roadmap features and expanded hours • Starting commitment: 10 to 20 hours per week • Preferred: US-based, or deep experience designing consumer iPhone apps for the U.S. market • Compensation: $100+/hr, based on portfolio strength, relevant mobile experience, and scope • Primary tool: Figma How to apply Please apply through LinkedIn and include a link to your portfolio. Applications should include • Portfolio link • 1 to 2 mobile app case studies showing how you simplified a complex product • Relevant work in consumer mobile, health/wellness, AI, calendar, productivity, or feature-rich apps • A short note on how you would approach redesigning a personalized dashboard for a high-trust consumer health app We care most about taste, product judgment, mobile UX depth, speed, and the ability to make complexity feel simple.
