Role Description The Pet Groomer role at HFC is a remote position that focuses on providing grooming services and related support for companion animals. Day-to-day tasks include bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets’ coats, as well as nail clipping, ear cleaning, and basic hygiene care following established safety and handling guidelines. The Pet Groomer communicates with pet guardians to understand grooming preferences, provide care recommendations, and ensure a positive experience for both pets and clients. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of services, scheduling appointments, and collaborating with other team members to uphold quality standards. This position is designed for individuals who can work independently, manage their time effectively, and deliver consistent, high-quality grooming services. Qualifications • Demonstrated experience in pet grooming, including bathing, brushing, coat trimming, and basic hygiene care. • Strong animal handling skills, with an emphasis on safety, low-stress techniques, and compassion for pets of varying temperaments. • Effective communication and customer service abilities to interact professionally with pet guardians and team members. • Solid time management and organizational skills, including appointment scheduling and accurate record-keeping in a remote setting. • Knowledge of basic animal health and wellness indicators to identify when a pet may need veterinary attention and to follow company protocols. • Ability to work independently with reliable access to appropriate grooming tools, equipment, and a safe, clean workspace. • High school diploma or equivalent; formal grooming training or certification is preferred. • Commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive practices and adherence to HFC’s standards for ethical treatment of animals and clients.
