Perio Manager (Specialty) – URBN Dental | Houston, TX At URBN Denta, we believe systems support the office, but strong leaders drive performance. We’re hiring a Perio Manager to lead our specialty team, working closely with our periodontist across locations to deliver a seamless, high-performing patient experience from consult to surgery. Locations: Meyerland & Spring Branch (travel required with Perio team) Schedule: Full-Time | 40 hours/week
Responsibilities
• Lead Front + Back Team Flow: Align front office, RDAs, hygienists, and doctor to ensure smooth, efficient daily operations
• Case Management & Conversions: Oversee patient journey from consult → treatment, ensuring consistent follow-up and high case acceptance
• Specialty Operations: Support perio procedures, implant workflows, and surgical coordination
• Systems Execution: Manage and optimize workflows within NextGen (EMR) and internal ERM/CRM systems
• Medical Integration: Collaborate on medical billing workflows and support operations aligned with ASC (Ambulatory Surgery Center) standards
• Team Leadership: Coach, develop, and hold team accountable while maintaining a positive, solutions-oriented culture
• Patient Experience: Ensure every patient interaction is clear, confident, and supportive, especially for complex procedures
Requirements
• 2+ years in a dental leadership or management role
• Perio or surgical specialty experience (required)
• Strong understanding of implant cases and treatment coordination
• Proven leadership in a dental specialty setting (Perio strongly preferred)
• Experience working with implants and surgical case coordination
• Familiarity with NextGen or similar EMR systems
• Strong operational mindset, able to manage workflows, people, and performance simultaneously
• Highly organized with strong follow-through on cases, schedules, and patient communication
Nice-to-haves
• Exposure to ASC or medical/hospital workflows (strongly preferred)
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
