We offer an opportunity to join a cutting-edge global environmental nonprofit and to help strengthen the impact of our organization.   Position Summary ​​The Payroll & People Systems Specialist supports Textile Exchange’s global workforce operations through the administration of U.S. payroll, HR systems, employee data management, compliance, and reporting. This role serves as the primary administrator for BambooHR and is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, optimizing workflows, and supporting payroll operations in alignment with organizational policies and applicable regulations.  Primary Duties and Responsibilities Payroll Operations & Compliance  Process semi-monthly U.S. payroll accurately and on time across multiple states   Administer payroll-related state tax accounts, agency registrations, and related compliance requirements   Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local payroll and wage and hour regulations   Support annual payroll and compensation processes, including salary review cycles, bonus administration, payroll budgeting, minimum salary threshold reviews, allowance conversion rates, and payroll calendar administration   Process payroll adjustments related to taxable benefits and imputed income   Conduct payroll audits and quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency    HRIS & People Systems Administration  Serve as primary administrator for BambooHR   Administer employee records and ensure ongoing HRIS data integrity   Audit HRIS data against EOR and benefits systems to ensure accuracy and consistency   Configure and maintain workflows, approvals, permissions, and automated processes within BambooHR   Monitor onboarding, offboarding, transfer, and employee documentation workflows to ensure timely completion and compliance   Maintain employee documentation within BambooHR, including job descriptions, offer letters, transfer documentation, and separation records   Support process improvement initiatives and ongoing optimization of HR systems and workflows    Employee Administration & Operational Support  Coordinate onboarding administration and employee setup processes   Process employment verification requests   Maintain organizational charts and related presentation materials   Support day-to-day People & Culture operations and special projects as needed    Cross-Functional Support & Reporting  Reconcile monthly benefit invoices against payroll deductions   Support annual workers’ compensation audits and reporting requirements   Serve as the back-up for benefits administration processes   Support HRIS integrations, GL-related processes, and systems projects   Participate in People & Culture systems implementations and operational improvement initiatives  Minimum Qualifications ​​​3+ years of U.S. payroll and HRIS experience   ​Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll  ​Experience administering BambooHR or similar HRIS platforms   ​Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel  ​Knowledge of payroll compliance and wage and hour regulations   ​Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills   ​High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy   ​Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion   ​Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams   ​Based in the United States​​  Preferred Qualifications ​​Eastern Time Zone  ​Experience with BambooHR  ​Experience working within a global, distributed team environment  ​Experience working remotely​  ​​ Employment Package  Full-Time Position, 40 Hours a Week Required travel: less than 5% Annual Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 USD
