Patient Support Specialist

Reporting to the Patient Support Supervisor, the Patient Support Specialist is responsible for resolving inbound patient requests related to billing and appointment scheduling in a multi-channel environment. The ideal candidate will be motivated by joining a quickly growing organization.  Estimated Starting Pay: $20/hour + bonus Patient Support Specialist Job Responsibilities:  Schedule appointments for new and established patients while considering patient insurance, schedule templates and patient/provider preferences  Monitor multi-channel inbound patient requests to ensure timely response and accurate resolutions  Work with patients and insurance carriers to resolve patient billing inquiries  Responsible for maintaining individual and departmental goals including Average Handle Time, Service Level, Abandonment Rate, Call Quality, and others  Maintain confidentiality of all patient information with a full understanding of HIPAA requirements  Demonstrates flexibility to meet the needs of all internal and external customers including changes to workflows, work volume and work schedules  Other duties as assigned  Ideal Candidate Profile:  Passionate about our mission and inspiring others  Self-starter, for whom no task is too big or too small and takes ownership of their decisions  Experience working in a behavioral health call center  Experience with insurance plans and benefits  Contribute to the collective effort both within own scope - and beyond - as needed  Creative and strategic thinker  A lifelong learner who believes in giving and receiving feedback to get better each day  Organized & process-oriented  Skills/Qualifications:  2-4 years in a healthcare environment required, preferably in billing, front office administration or call center  Must possess strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to multi-task while maintaining the highest-level of quality in every patient interaction  High School diploma or GED required  #LI-Remote At Geode Health, we offer: Competitive compensation Flexible schedule In-person and virtual patient visits Comprehensive admin support (front office, accounting, finance, payroll, HR, etc) Professional development opportunities Clinical community, support, and leadership Medical, dental and vision benefits Life insurance Short and long-term disability Paid vacation and holidays Matching 401k plan State of the art technology Why work for Geode Health?
