Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Network Engineer and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) Administrator to join our innovative IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructure and PACS solutions that support seamless healthcare imaging workflows. Duties
• Design, develop, and optimize network architecture including system design, system architecture, and solution architecture to support PACS and enterprise IT needs.
• Manage and configure network components such as RAID controllers, firewalls, VPNs, DHCP servers, DNS services, load balancers, and RAID controllers to ensure high availability and security.
• Administer PACS systems by overseeing system administration tasks, including system setup, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance tuning within a service-oriented architecture framework.
• Implement virtualization technologies using VMware ESXi, Kubernetes, and other cloud solutions like AWS and Azure to enhance scalability and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Develop scripts and automation using Bash (Unix shell), Python, Shell Scripting, PowerShell, and other scripting languages to streamline operations in Linux, Windows, and UNIX environments.
• Maintain database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server with T-SQL or PL/SQL for efficient data management within PACS applications.
• Ensure information security by configuring firewalls, managing access controls via VPNs, implementing RESTful API integrations, REST APIs for interoperability with third-party systems, and adhering to best practices in cybersecurity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to support SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or Git for continuous integration/delivery workflows.
• Monitor system performance using load balancing techniques; troubleshoot network issues; manage system backups; perform system upgrades; support virtualization environments; ensure compliance with IT standards such as DevOps practices.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in computer networking including TCP/IP protocols such as DHCP and DNS; familiarity with VPNs and firewall configuration is essential.
• Strong background in system administration across operating systems including Windows Server, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS), UNIX variants; experience with VMware ESXi or other virtualization platforms is required.
• Hands-on knowledge of PACS administration within healthcare or imaging environments; understanding of medical imaging standards like DICOM is advantageous.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
• Experience working with cloud platforms like Google for solution architecture purposes.
• Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration; understanding of DevOps tools including Jenkins, Git repositories for version control.
• Educational background in computer science or related fields; certifications in networking (CCNA/CCNP), system administration (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), or cloud certifications are preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities; ability to work effectively within an Agile environment while managing multiple priorities. Pay: $72,750.44 - $87,613.43 per year
