A well-established California law firm representing cities, counties, school districts, and public agencies is seeking a Municipal / Public Entity Attorney to join its team.
This role offers a unique mix of litigation + advisory work, giving attorneys the opportunity to handle matters end-to-end while also counseling public entity clients on day-to-day legal issues.
What you’ll do:
• Handle civil litigation matters (motions, discovery, depositions, court appearances)
• Advise public agencies on labor & employment, contracts, governance, and compliance
• Conduct investigations and provide strategic legal guidance
• Work directly with city councils, districts, and agency leadership
• Manage cases from inception through resolution
What they’re looking for:
• Active California Bar admission
• Experience in civil litigation, municipal law, or public entity representation
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
• Ability to interface directly with public agency clients
• Interest in a hybrid litigation + advisory practice
