What impact can a Precision Strategy Consultant make?
Precision Strategy Consultants (PSCs) at Agility bring deep expertise in developing and implementing advertising strategies within the broader context of a company's full marketing portfolio. This includes marketing strategy, analytics, media buying, digital channel management, project management, and relationship management — all working together to build tailored precision strategies aligned with each customer's unique goals and challenges.
PSCs also lead a cross-functional team of specialists to execute those strategies and achieve customer KPIs. That team includes audience engineers, optimization specialists, creative production engineers, tracking engineers, and marketing scientists. World-class execution tells the story of success through data — and unlocks greater advertising investment from the customer.
What does success look like?
A Precision Strategy Consultant has a healthy, thriving customer set who are raving fans. They continually build and implement the best possible precision strategies, and their customers experience real results. They are a source of excellence and knowledge for the broader team, willing to train and guide junior members. They love learning and systematically improve themselves and everyone around them.
Experience, qualities, and skills
The following represent our ideal — having most of them is what we realistically expect:
Strategic vision and planning: Collaborate with customer marketing leadership to develop and oversee precision advertising plans, using data and analytics to inform decisions and measure success.
Customer relationship and consultation: Act as a strategic advisor, guiding customers through the precision advertising landscape and facilitating discussions around audience strategy, brand messaging, creative adaptation, optimization, measurement, and results.
Collaboration and leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute integrated customer strategies. Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of learning. Coordinate across disciplines to maximize ROI and keep campaigns aligned with strategic objectives.
Communication and persuasion: Engage customers via email, Slack, video calls, and in-person as needed. Communicate complex strategies clearly and persuasively, and drive strategic conversations in quarterly business reviews.
Principles and ethics: Maintain integrity, set and achieve meaningful goals, and do work you're proud of. Build healthy relationships without sacrificing results. Use focus as a tool for executing with precision.
Innovation and growth: Identify growth opportunities for customers, collaborate with Account Executives on compelling presentations, and work closely with Product to surface insights that surprise and delight. Support Agility's OKRs through innovation and performance improvement.
Network and advocacy: Build a positive impression of Agility through exceptional results. Bring a network of peers and past colleagues who trust your judgment — and who might follow you here.
