Job DetailsPosition Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 Salary/yearThe Manager of Operations Systems Support is responsible for owning the performance, integrity, and continuous improvement of Modern Aviation’s core operating system (X1 FBO). This role serves as the single point of accountability internally for all system-related execution across operations, finance, and customer experience, including transaction accuracy, pricing, billing, integrations, and issue resolution. In addition, the Manager will act as the primary liaison between Modern Aviation and X1, ensuring issues are escalated, tracked, and resolved while building internal expertise and consistency across the network.
This is a remote position. Applicants based in the US will be considered.
System Ownership & Operational Integrity
Own end-to-end performance of the X1 system across all locations
Ensure accuracy and compliance with:
Daily transactions and close processes
Fuel inventory, receiving, and transfers
Customer setup, billing, and invoicing
Monitor system-to-GL integration and resolve discrepancies in partnership with Finance
Establish and enforce standardized operating procedures across all bases
Issue Management & Vendor Liaison (Critical Function)
Serve as the central point of contact for all X1-related issues across Modern Aviation
Drive structured issue tracking, prioritization, and resolution:
Triage internal questions and route appropriately
Escalate unresolved issues to X1 support
Own follow-up through resolution (no dropped handoffs)
Lead ongoing coordination with X1 (e.g., recurring check-ins, updates, system enhancements)
Maintain internal visibility on system issues, risks, and resolution timelines
Pricing, Billing, and Revenue Enablement
Support and govern execution of:
Fuel pricing updates
Contract pricing and exceptions
Billing accuracy and consistency
Partner with Finance and Commercial teams on pricing structure, reporting, and controls
Ensure pricing and billing processes scale consistently across all locations
Implementation & Network Scaling
Lead X1 system onboarding for new acquisitions and base integrations
Ensure consistent configuration, data integrity, and process adoption across locations
Standardize system setup (products, services, GL mapping, tax structures, etc.)
Identify and eliminate variability across locations
Reporting & Insights
Deliver accurate, timely reporting from X1 to support:
Operations performance
Revenue tracking and pricing visibility
Finance reconciliation
Maintain core system reporting standards (avoid one-off reporting fragmentation)
Partner with stakeholders to improve data visibility and usability
Training & Adoption –
Act as the internal subject matter expert (SME) on X1
Develop and deploy training for:
CSRs and Customer Service Managers
GMs and operational leaders
Reinforce adoption of standard processes and best practices
Identify system knowledge gaps and proactively address them
Assume additional responsibilities, to support Modern Aviation’s evolving business objectives
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED plus a minimum of two years in a related job is preferred
A valid driver’s license is required
Extensive expertise in X1 FBO (or comparable aviation POS / ERP system)
Strong understanding of:
Transaction-based operating environments
Pricing, billing, and revenue processes
GL integration and financial controls
Highly organized with strong issue management discipline
Ability to operate cross-functionally and drive alignment without authority
Clear communicator with focus on follow-through and accountability
Working conditions and physical demands for this role –
Constantly operates a computer and periodically move around the office to access office machinery, e.g., copy machine
Possess the ability to communicate information and ideas so others understand
Travel across the network

Modern Aviation’s Pay Range –
$80,000 - $90,000 + bonus + benefits.
