About This Role
SpartanX is seeking an experienced Manager of Construction Operations to oversee service operations, roofing coordination, subcontractor performance, and cross-functional project execution across active markets.
This leadership role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed efficiently, service issues are resolved promptly, roofing activities are coordinated effectively, and third-party partners meet SpartanX quality standards. The ideal candidate understands how installation, service, roofing, inspections, permitting, scheduling, and customer experience all work together to create operational success.
This position requires a highly organized leader who can manage multiple priorities simultaneously while driving accountability, operational efficiency, and exceptional customer outcomes.
What You'll Do
Service & Repairs Management
Oversee residential solar service and repair operations across active markets
Monitor service performance, completion timelines, and first-visit resolution rates
Review escalated service issues and develop corrective action plans
Coordinate service resources to ensure timely homeowner support
Identify recurring service trends and implement operational improvements
Roofing Coordination
Manage roofing-related project activities, including detach and reset operations
Coordinate project timelines between roofing contractors, installation teams, and operations departments
Ensure roofing work is completed according to company standards and project requirements
Resolve roofing-related operational challenges and scheduling conflicts
Support homeowner communication regarding roofing timelines and expectations
Subcontractor & Third-Party Management
Manage relationships with subcontractors, roofing vendors, and third-party service providers
Monitor subcontractor performance, quality standards, and completion timelines
Conduct performance reviews and maintain accountability standards for external partners
Ensure third-party vendors comply with company requirements, safety expectations, and customer service standards
Assist with onboarding and evaluating new subcontractor relationships
Cross-Functional Operations Leadership
Collaborate with permitting, scheduling, inspections, service, installation, engineering, and sales teams
Support operational planning and resource allocation across departments
Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and scalability
Monitor operational KPIs and provide performance reporting to leadership
Assist with project escalations and operational problem-solving initiatives
Ensure projects move efficiently through all stages of construction and post-install support
Qualifications
Previous solar operations, construction management, service management, or field leadership experience required
Strong understanding of residential solar operations and project workflows
Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, or field service teams
Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects, departments, and priorities simultaneously
Professional communication and leadership abilities
Experience with CRMs, project management systems, and operational software platforms
Strong customer service mindset and operational accountability focus
Preferred Qualifications
Previous construction operations management experience
Experience managing roofing operations or detach and reset projects
Experience with service operations and warranty-related workflows
Solar industry experience preferred
Experience supporting multi-market operations
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
