Role Overview:
The Paid Ads Video Editor will be responsible for editing high-performing direct-response video ads using raw content from creators, brand libraries, and stock resources. You’ll specialize in UGC and UGC-style compilation edits, focusing on short-form ads tailored to Meta’s best practices.
This isn’t just about cool transitions or pretty effects — this is about editing for performance. We want someone who understands hooks, scroll-stoppers, retention pacing, offer stacking, and CTA placement.
Key Responsibilities:
✦ UGC & Compilation Ad Editing
Edit UGC and hybrid-style ads using raw clips from creators, testimonials, B-roll, and stock
Create compilation-style ads that blend multiple creators or clips into one coherent narrative
Build multiple variations (hook, CTA, length) to support A/B testing at scale
✦ Direct Response Ad Editing
Apply DR ad structures: Hook → Problem → Solution → CTA — and edit with this in mind
Add captions, headlines, dynamic subtitles, sound effects, and background music
Highlight offers, pain points, and product benefits visually and through editing flow
✦ Performance Optimization
Follow visual pacing and retention strategies that maximize watch time and conversions
Use client and team feedback to iterate on top-performing ads
Stay up-to-date on what’s working in paid ads and apply winning formats/styles
✦ Collaboration
Work with the creative director and media buying team to align ad edits with strategy
Translate scripts or content briefs into dynamic, sales-focused video creatives
Organize and manage creative assets and edit files for easy collaboration and updates
Qualifications:
2+ years editing direct-response or paid social video ads (Meta, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts)
Proven experience editing UGC or working with influencer content (portfolio required)
Strong knowledge of editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, Descript, etc.)
Deep understanding of performance creative best practices — especially Meta ad structure
Excellent at storytelling, pacing, retention tactics, and conversion-optimized formatting
Bonus: Experience in eCommerce, beauty, or DTC brands
Bonus Responsibilities (Optional, but Recommended):
Build Template Libraries: Help create reusable templates for intros, captions, CTAs, and transitions
Creative Analysis: Review top-performing ads and propose new visual formats/styles to test
Platform Adaptation: Format winning ads into TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts versions
