Job Description:
• Handle calls on demand, and render the meaning of conversations between Uzbek and English speakers.
• Break the communication barrier in various industries including healthcare, 911, education, etc.
• Conduct interpretation in a friendly and professional manner.
• Deliver interpretation services via video and expediently type data.
• Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation and polite expressions.
• Maintain a professional demeanor throughout the sessions.
• Remain calm during interpreting sessions if speakers are incoherent or upset.
• Follow client instructions to meet expectations with the Limited English-speaking Person (LEP).
• Understand protocol and terminology for various industries.
Requirements:
• Fluency in Uzbek and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics.
• Ability to provide cultural competency and assess regional and accent differences.
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills.
• Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, remain neutral and objective.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields such as teaching, language assessment, translation or interpretation preferred.
• Must be able to adapt to any LLS technology enhancements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write the requested languages – highly preferred.
