Our client, a global technology company, is seeking temporary support for at least 3 months from a Construction Attorney to support the construction of data centers across the globe. This will be a full time work week, starting as quickly as possible, and slated for a duration of at least 3 months. Fully remote.
Responsibilities may include
• Draft, negotiate, and advise on construction contracts, design-build agreements, and owner-contractor/subcontractor agreements
• Counsel on site acquisition, ground leases, purchase agreements, and title/survey matters for large industrial/tech campuses
• Navigate permitting and land use issues, including zoning, environmental review, and utility interconnection approvals
• Advise on power and energy agreements — critical given data centers' enormous electricity demands — including PPAs, utility service agreements, and backup generation compliance
• Handle supply chain and equipment procurement contracts (generators, cooling systems, servers, specialized hardware)
• Counsel on regulatory compliance: NEPA, CEQA, stormwater/NPDES permits, fire and life safety codes
• Advise hyperscaler, co-location, and enterprise clients on tenant/colocation agreements tied to construction milestones
Candidates with at least 3 years of the above experience will be qualified for this role. This position requires residency
AND bar licensure in one of the following states:
Washington, Washington D.C., Oregon, California, Arizona, Illinois, Texas, Alaska, Wisconsin, New York, Colorado, or Idaho
