Established in 1985, FNTI has graduated over 4,000 students through certificate, diploma, and degree programs delivered in partnership with Ontario’s colleges and universities.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt">As a First Nation-mandated, not-for-profit, and registered charitable organization accredited by the Indigenous Advanced Education and Skills Council (IAESC), FNTI delivers a range of post-secondary programming grounded in Indigenous knowledge and community connection. Faculty are contracted for each delivery session, which includes planning, professional development, instructional delivery, and the assessment and evaluation of student learning and teaching and knowledge dissemination, providing cultural support to learners, and contributing to administration, coordination, research, and community engagement.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt">Prepare, instruct, and deliver courses in a cultural framework, while adhering to FNTI’s “braided healing with learning” approach</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Incorporate Indigenous knowledges, ways of knowing/being, and Indigenous worldview and ensure quality assurance while planning and developing appropriate lessons, teachings and practices for classroom facilitation/conversations and methodologies to address the learning outcomes</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Provide academic and cultural supports to learners, while evaluating learner </span>progress/achievement</li> </ul> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Support all learning outcomes (vocational, course and Indigenous) and design appropriate teaching methodologies for meeting those learning outcomes</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Support the strategic priorities of the institute while adhering to the Values, Mission and Vision 12pt">Facilitate space for inclusion of medicines and traditional healing practices to our learners during each course</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Collaborate with the Cultural Advisor to provide ceremonies, traditional teachings that are appropriate to meeting the Indigenous learning outcomes and ensure the cultural framework is followed (opening and closings, smudging, circles, drumming and singing and cultural practices)</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Ensure Indigenous Pedagogy and Andragogy practices are implemented, and Adult Learning Principles combination of Indigenous knowledge and teachings, training and experience which FNTI deems to be appropriate to the role, or</span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">A Degree or diploma in a relevant field and at least three years teaching in a postsecondary environment and experience working with Indigenous learners and communities</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Demonstrated knowledge of the history of Indigenous peoples and communities</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Experience in delivering high quality teaching and curriculum development at the postsecondary level or equivalent education and experience as a practitioner in a related field</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Excellent organizational and time
