Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Oversee the storage and disposal operations of the paper and electronic records management program. Conduct evaluations of records management systems, workflows, and metadata to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain records classification schemes and retention schedules based on legal, regulatory, and business requirements.
• Support audits, regulatory reporting, and internal reviews related to information governance.
• Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and metrics related to records compliance and lifecycle status.
• Act as a liaison between Information Governance and business units by fostering strong relationships and ensuring collaboration through effective communication to support program objectives.
• Provide training and guidance on information governance and regulatory requirements
Role and Responsibilities:
• This role supports day-to-day information governance and records management activities, including reviewing and maintaining retention schedules, and supporting records lifecycle activities.
• The analyst partners with Privacy, Legal, IT, and business teams support audits, answer record-related questions, and review records systems and metadata.
• The role also contributes to ongoing Information Governance initiatives by implementing and supporting tools used to navigate data and apply retention policies.
• A key part of the role is effectively communicating governance requirements and processes to business teams to enable consistent information management.
• Performance is measured by the analyst's ability to consistently support records and information governance activities, meet compliance and audit requirements, and complete assigned projects accurately and on time, supporting electronic data governance initiatives, producing reliable reporting and documentation, and effectively partnering with business units to ensure governance processes are followed.
• This role supports both records management and electronic data governance.
• It helps implement tools to manage electronic data, apply retention rules, and clearly explain governance processes so business teams know how to follow them.
Education/Certification Required:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

• The purpose of this team is that it is responsible for ensuring organizational information is managed appropriately throughout its lifecycle. The team supports regulatory compliance, reduces risk, and promotes consistent, defensible records and data management practices across the enterprise, including retention, disposition, and information handling standards.
• The team is collaborative, compliance-focused, and works closely with Privacy, Legal, IT, and business units.
• The work environment emphasizes accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Key projects include maintaining records retention schedules, supporting audits and regulatory reviews, improving records management processes, and supporting electronic records and information governance initiatives.
• This request supports current program needs and ongoing Information Governance operations. Currently, it is not part of a larger hiring initiative, but the role helps ensure adequate coverage.
