Position Summary
The Industry Account Manager, Semicon is responsible for driving growth within Balluff’s Semicon sector in the United States. This role focuses on developing and managing key accounts, identifying new opportunities, and supporting sales through collaboration, technical expertise, and strategic customer engagement.
What You’ll Do
Manage and grow global and regional key and strategic accounts within Semicon manufacturing
Support sales through customer visits, product presentations, and training on Semicon processes and relevant technologies
Develop and execute account growth plans to achieve sales targets locally, nationally, and internationally
Identify high-potential customers in Semicon and partner with local sales engineers to maximize opportunities
Make informed commercial decisions to optimize sales and maintain profitable margins
Build a deep understanding of customer processes, needs, and decision-making structures
Assess and drive the most effective routes to market for Balluff’s Semicon solutions
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Remote role with frequent travel to customer sites and U.S. headquarters (approximately 20–30%); occasional international travel (up to 5%)
Attendance at national trade shows such as Photonics West Show and other industry events
Work involves extended periods of sitting and computer use, walking or standing during customer visits, and occasional lifting of materials or samples
Work may take place in industrial or manufacturing environments

QualificationsWhat You Bring
Minimum of 5 years of sales and or business development experience in industrial automation
Sufficient PowerPoint presentation skills to effectively present to management, director, and ownership-level customers
Understanding and experience in the Semicon sector is required
Must demonstrate a proactive, hunter mindset with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
Ability to link Balluff products to specific applications in Semicon OEMs
Competent technical knowledge of industrial automation, sensors, IO-Link, and RFID solutions
Sales experience with machine manufacturers; experience with Semicon manufacturers is particularly advantageous
Proficiency in CRM systems
