Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. The Legal Assistant will provide administrative support to our legal team and assist in managing various legal tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
• Assist in preparing legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, and contracts
• Conduct legal research
• Maintain and organize client files and documents
• Schedule appointments and meetings
• Interview clients to gather necessary information for cases
• Draft correspondence and communicate with clients
• Perform general clerical duties, such as answering phone calls, filing documents, and managing calendars
• Utilize project management software to track case progress
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong proofreading abilities
• Ability to conduct thorough research using various resources
• Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
• Spanish language is required.
