Senior HR Operations Project Lead
Location: Fully Remote
Engagement Type: Contract (4–6 Months)
Compensation: $60–$80 per hour (approximately $140,000–$165,000 annualized equivalent)
Reporting To: Jenn Bouchard, CHRO
Position Summary
Our client s seeking an experienced Senior HR Operations Project Lead to provide hands-on operational and project leadership support to the Chief Human Resources Officer during a period of significant activity and transformation. This individual will serve as a trusted partner to the CHRO, helping drive execution across a broad range of HR operational priorities, process improvement initiatives, compliance efforts, and strategic projects.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized HR operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and is comfortable turning strategy into action. Key Responsibilities
• Partner directly with the CHRO to manage and execute critical HR initiatives and operational priorities.
• Lead and coordinate HR projects across multiple geographies and business functions.
• Drive process improvement efforts to increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability across HR operations.
• Ensure timely execution of key HR deliverables and organizational initiatives.
• Support HR compliance activities, including adherence to regional, state, and country-specific requirements.
• Develop project plans, track milestones, manage risks, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts and ensure alignment among HR and business leaders.
• Identify operational gaps and recommend practical solutions to improve effectiveness and execution.
• Establish and maintain documentation, workflows, and governance processes as needed.
Qualifications
• Significant experience in HR Operations, HR Project Management, or a related HR leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and drive execution in fast-paced environments.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
• Experience supporting senior HR executives and managing competing priorities.
• Knowledge of HR compliance and regulatory considerations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable operating independently with a high level of accountability and urgency.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting global HR organizations.
• Formal Project Management experience or certification.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training and experience.
• Demonstrated success improving processes and implementing operational best practices.
